But we don’t need to blame Briusov and other symbolists for all the deadly sins almost including the very fact of the October revolution. In fact, the Bolsheviks started by destroying symbolism as poetic school, and their transformation of culture went far beyond Symbolist ideas on the creation of life. After all, it is not the fault of the Russian Symbolists that their idea to create a new creative personality took a turn for the destruction of this very personality in the U.S.S.R.
